My band was on the radio this past friday and we covered one of my favorite songs ever. This is a video of that. Listen to Wisdom Teeth because they (I’ve only met Dan but he’s the best) are my favorite people ever.

Last night my good friends in Milkshakes delivered a great acoustic set on my radio program Left of the Dial on WNHU. After engaging in some jokey banter and answering a few serious interview-style questions, they also took the time to share some music that influenced theirs, along with some…
Milkshakes is in studio with me at WNHU. Tune in now HERE! (Taken with Instagram at University of New Haven-WNHU)
I’m being awkward on the radio right now. Listen plox

What do you mean by he was mean to people you don’t like?
By people that I don’t like i mean people that I don’t really know but who where annoying/annoy me. So basically I have a have a few major pet peeves when it comes to the way people act at shows. The first one is when annoying bro’s go up to the singer, steal the mic from him (occasionally knocking over the mic) and then continue to stage dive. Well last night this extremely annoying drunk guy who was standing next to me went up and did what I just described and instead of just letting it happen like a lot of band guys do, Barry shoved this guy by his face off of the stage. The second thing that annoys me is when people attempt to stage dive at The Space (key word “attempt”). The stage is like 6 inches off of the ground and when someone try’s to stage dive off of it, it usually ends with someone in a band getting kicked, or something falling over. In one case last night some guy went to stage dive and Barry kicked him in the back which ended in a failed stage dive (I actually don’t think that I’ve even seen a successful stage dive at the space). Those are just a couple of examples of what I meant, he most certainly was not being mean but rather doing things that a lot of people wouldn’t do in fear of looking like an asshole. He seems to be fairly concerned with the safety of the people who come to see his band play which I think that not enough bands care about. It just really annoys me when people treat shows like their own personal source of entertainment and have absolutely no regard for the people around them and more importantly the bands. there’s nothing wrong with crowd surfing (I do it sometimes) as long as you try to be respectful when doing it and if your not doing it every ten seconds like a certain group of kids who also annoy the shit out of me were doing last night. If I wanted to go to a hardcore show then I would go to a hardcore show.
I saw Joyce Manor tonight. They are the best band. Their singer was mean to people that I don’t like which was cool. Algernon also played which was cool because I like them and
Haven’t seen them in awhile. Also people went crazy for The World Is which was both weird and cool because peeps usually just stand around at their shows. Overall tonight was pretty awesome.
Urvrythang better wen u drunk
I just found out that my mom’s new boyfriend is a Mortician (a.k.a an Undertaker). She doesn’t even think that it’s the least bit strange. No
Every so often, one of those shows rolls around that you know is going to be hyped before and after the fact. This is one of those shows.
Evan Weiss (aka Into It. Over It.) will be performing, for the first time in Connecticut, as a full band with his sideproject Stay Ahead Of The Weather behind him. Also on this show are the current trifecta of Connecticut punk - Make Do And Mend, Hostage Calm, and The World Is a Beautiful Place & I am No Longer Afraid to Die. In addition to those, Topshelf Records screamo band Suis La Lune will be performing, from Switzerland. This is a show that should not be missed. I will be at college in New York and I’m coming back. You have no excuses. (Owen is listed on the poster - he is only on the last three dates of the tour. Sorry!)
The show will be happening in Hartford at the Webster Underground on October 21st. Save the date. You may want to buy tickets early. If you do, go over here:
